Hi Andy

Either that file hasn't been changed or is being cached somehow. A server
restart might help that but I suspect the file hasn't been changed. Get them
to add a comment in the file too e.g. <!--This is the file we've changed-->
so that you can verify the correct file has been changed and is being
served.

Our IT guys have changed the 3 files as you suggest. However the problem
persists, and when I browse to
https://xerte.uwl.ac.uk/modules/xerte/player_html5/rloObject.htm and look at
the source code it still shows

-AM_HTMLorMML-full

 

in the script.

 

Do they need to change additional files, or maybe just restart the server?

 

N.B. We are not yet on the latest version

This is a know issue that recently occurred due to a change on the external
cdn used as part of the mathjax functionality. The xertetoolkits developer
code has already been fixed and we've been discussing how best to share a
fix for those who just want to fix this issue and don't want to apply a full
upgrade.

 

the files that need fixing are as follows:

\modules\site\play.php

\modules\site\preview.php

\modules\xerte\player_html5\rloObject.htm

 

The change needed is to change

This has already been fixed in the xerte code repository (by Tom Reijnders)
but obviously requires someone to apply those changes to your install.

Hi

 

Our Xerte installation here at UoL appears to be experiencing something odd,
the old Flash version of published content is working fine but both the
preview and published version of objects in HTML 5 has lost its menu/
navigation buttons, so all we can see is the content in the middle of the
1st item in the object. I'm wondering if there is some issue with recent
browser upgrades or more likely our installation has developed a fault
somehow in the database. Just wondering if anyone has seen this happen?
