[Xerte] non coders?

Hello John,

If you use Xerte on-line toolkits or Xerte and base your projects on the
Page Templates project wide template you can create learning modules
without coding. However their benefit - that they protect the
non-technical user from the underlying structure of Xerte, also makes
them a less than ideal way of developing your own coding skills.

Using Xerte without using the Page Templates project wide template,
throws you right in at the deep end.

But there is another option open to you. If you want to combine the ease
of using form driven page templates with easy access to the underlying
icon structure, so that you can see how everything hangs together then
you might like to download the Xerte page wizards - full details are on
the Xerte wiki.

Page wizards can be a good way of learning more about how Xerte works,
whilst having the comfort of form driven pages. There easy access to the
underlying structure also makes it easy to tweak a page if it doesn't do
quite what you would like it too.

Kind regards

Johnathan

Subject: [Xerte] non coders?

Hi Everybody,

While watching this list I notice most of the communication is about
coding issues. Are their many no coders here. And is it realistic to be
a non coder and use Xerte?

Cheers

John D
