Subject: [Xerte] Institutional Browser issues
Just having fun diagnosing an issue that’s raised its head now that more users are using Xerte as part of a wider pilot
The issue is with the Edit and Properties windows
I use IE and have no problem with accessing this functionality from the Uni or anywhere else
Firefox and Safari work fine from outside the University, but most of the time when accessing from within the Uni using these browsers the Edit window is blank and Properties window comes up with “Sorry you do not have rights to this template”. The annoying thing is that sometimes it works fine from the Uni.
As this is a pilot we are using an index page based on switch.txt
The easiest solution is just to tell everyone to use IE, but it would be nice not to.
So...anyone else had similar issues?
Thanks
Neil
