In my mind, v2 is at easter, when we have parity between the flah and html5 output,

Don't know - I would argue it makes sense to wait for 2.0, but that is a bit like waiting for X as 2.0 doesn't have a date. This what the roadmap should do really, should be a community decision around dates.

I think the next version should be Xenith, and putting other templates in would just confuse people. Also if Xenith works in 1.8 then adding in the 1.9 stuff would offer a complication that isn't a requirement. Xenith works without modularisation, so if this is the Xenith release then make it that and what is in 1.8.

I'm half using XOT at work locally, and I'm not that fussed if no one else is using modularisation (I need it for what I do, if no one else wants it, not bothered by it)

Ok, leave it then. But following your argumment, when would there be a point?

Is there much point if the changes suggested sound like v2?

All it would do is make the xerte side of the code different for no benefit (unless someone wants another template type)

Ignoring this morning's chat about libraries

All of the modularisation stuff is now committed to 1.9.

If anyone wants a pointer on how to create a module let me know as you can make pretty much what you want now.

Some more emails later on to discuss certain points.
