[Reading-hall-of-fame] Re: Distance Participation in the Reading Hall of Fame Business Meeting at LRA Conference

David and Ray, wonderful plan. I will be "live" and non-virtual in Indian
Wells, I hope. However, to halfway address your question, David, here's a
subquestion: Isn't Zoom speaker-sensitive, like Google Hangouts are (though
limited to about 10 people and not nearly as good as Zoom). By
speaker-sensitive, I mean, when a person in the virtual audience begins to
talk, the screen automatically switches to them (a close-up effect). I'm
guessing that maybe the same happens for speakers who are in Indian Wells.

Does anyone know? I don't have the broadcast license that David has, but I
use Zoom quite often when conversations are 45 minutes or under and limited
to two sites. Anything over those restrictions result in fairly high fees
being added to one's 'phone' bill (or so I've been warned both on Zoom's
website and by colleagues who have had to ante up for conversations lasting
over 45 minutes. I'm guessing the license you have, David, erases these
limitations.

Exciting to think of ways to increase participation in RHOF meetings!
