On March 12th at Oxford there will be a one-day seminar-workshop on learning
mathematical concepts. Marty Simon will talk from the perspective of
reflective abstraction; Anne Watson will explore empirical/experiential
perspectives. The aim of the day will be to probe deeply into differences
and complementarities of these perspectives, and the implications for
teaching and task design (if we get there!)
Please contact me if you would like to come.
There will be a small charge for admin and refreshments. There may even be
a proper title and announcement in due course.
