Educational Studies in Mathematics Volume 48, Number 2-3 is devoted the
concept of infinity. You may find at least some references from that issue.
My supervisor Dr. John D. Monaghan has a paper on that issue which deals
with "young people's" concept of infinity, if it is any help.
