Thanks, Pat.

That helps a lot.  It sounds like merging is pretty tough at the moment--cutting and pasting 
xml sounds daunting since you have to keep the proper structure.  

My new problem is that the unit I prepared with the pages template and published as scorm 
will not load into WebCT.  That could be a problem at the college, although I was able to 
load scorms that I made without using a wizard.

Over the weekend I looked up xmlx and sawmill--Xerte has some intersting innards.
