Yes we have discussed this and will look to implement a solution in a future
update/release. As you say now that it's possible to get free certificates
(long overdue given the risks of public wifi) it will become more of a
problem for any non https applications. Before anyone asks when will that
solution be available. sorry the answer is it is a problem we're aware of
but it's not a simple or quick fix.

Ron,
That might be a 'quick-and-dirty' solution, but with more and more websites
turning to https only, imo Xerte should consider to have a solution to get
around the certificate issue.
It would be even better if websites start using valid certificates. With the
introduction of solutions like https://letsencrypt.org/ it shouldn't be to
hard.

Try replacing the links in your iframe code to non https e.g.
http://www.pathxl.co.uk/iscope/pxlviewer/default.aspx?guid=a1fd1296-1489-447

The problem with the https link isn't xerte specific e.g. if you view the
https link direct you will see the same certificate issues.

Subject: [Xerte] View Secure contents of PathXL in Xerte
Dear all,
I'm trying to show a PathXL image in Xerte, link:
https://www.pathxl.co.uk/iscope/pxlviewer/default.aspx?guid=a1fd1296-1489-44
77-82d8-ce96f3efe245
<https://www.pathxl.co.uk/iscope/pxlviewer/default.aspx?guid=a1fd1296-1489-4
477-82d8-ce96f3efe245&resid=115879> &resid=115879
This results in a message error in all browsers I tested. What should I do?
See also the attached screendumps.
Last week it seemed to work fine, so I thought the issue was resolved...
Thanks in advance,
Elly
