Do you mean with that video below or the xerte clip in 560? The latter works
fine for me but the clip below doesn't. However I don't think this is a
xerte problem and it crops up more and more now...

If you paste that embed code into a html page and then view the html page
you get the following:

So I think it's a restriction by the author not a bug with xerte but
unfortunately there's no indication when grabbing the embed code that this
is the case.

I'm seeing the same thing on play_560.

I wonder if anyone can help me try and debug this as I'm going to be away
from my desk for the rest of this week. The id is correct, as we get the
first frame image OK.

Our Norwegian friends have the same issue...

They try to add

The new embed code does not work   I will try updating the rlm file tomorrow
- we are using version 1.0.2 not 1.6   - although we have 1.6 installed but
not working..

NO, I don't know. It plays some videos fine, so it's not Xerte playing up,
or our embedding of the player. Must be something on youtube's side of
things, maybe I'm missing some parameters r something, I'll check the API
again.

You could use the new Embed Content / New Window pages to launch the youtube
content directly?

Code rather than <object/> code, but they both work.

All videos were created in the same way using Camtasia  and uploaded to
YouTube at the same time  - all will play through YouTube.

Thanks I have asked for the youtube rlm file to be updated - but then I have
looked again on Youtube to try and determine differences:

The ones that dont play - have a message "Video blocked in some countries
Viewcopyright Info" displayed next to them   - all the ones that play ok in
Xerte dont have this??????

Hm. That needs investigating then.

The other thing to do is see if you have the current youtube.rlm file on
your server, because we have had to keep up with several changes to YTs
embed code. the most current one is attached,

If I put this directly in the browser address bar:

It launches and plays as expected.

Doing the same with
http://www.youtube.com/v/q-t89QjmgEE

Immediately gives me an intermediate black screen with warning:

"This video contains content from SME. It is restricted from playback on
certain sites".

Then there is a link. "Watch on youTube"

Clicking the link launches the video.
"This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it".

So it looks like a difference in the publishing aspect.

The videos play fine in YouTube  - this is the old embed code for the
videos:  I have 3 in total  - 1 of them will play fine in Xerte  - 2 will
not  - this is the code of one of the ones that will not.

I have previously created my own videos using Camtasia and uploaded them to
youtube as a WMV file.  I had no problems last year embedding the code into
Xerte and it playing fine.

I have done the same last week  - although the video embeds it does not
play.  The only difference I can see is that the most recent videos have
"HD" next to them.

Is this why - or are there any changes / errors I should be aware of .  I
have tried re-embedding my videos I created last year and they work fine.
See screen dump below  the bottom two embed and play fine  the top ones
(most recent)  embed but wont play   - please help
