It's just supposed to show the series of steps in finding and opening a
piece of software. I only have limited knowledge of these things, but I
don't think the quality is a wink issue - it's just low res - I can
easily change the resolution and/or the size of the frame that's
captured, but presumably that doesn't matter if it won't be the correct
size in xerte anyway.
Am I right to assume that captivate swf files don't have the same
problem (i.e. changing the resolution on loading?)
Many thanks,

What are you trying to show with that: the quality isn't very good, and
when you resize it to something Xerte can display it's going to look
awful I think: even at a big resolution on my monitor it looks bad. Is
this a wink issue?
The problem in Xerte is because the wink movie loads up and changes the
xerte screen resolution: it assumes it will be running on its own,
rather than loaded into something else (like Xerte). Not sure I can do
much about that I'm afraid. Has anyone else tried and got wink to work?

Can you send me the swf produced by wink please?

Subject: [Xerte] wink swf file resizing
Hi,
I'm trying to add a screen capture video to my learning object but don't
currently have a copy of captivate. I can't use jing either because I
need to be able to edit the video. I've found a free tool, wink, that I
can use, but when I try to add a captivate movie made using wink in XOT
(or in the standalone version of xerte), it seems to resize the video
and zooms in on a small part of the screen. The resolution of the video
is 685x514. I've tried to render the video in lots of different sizes
but this doesn't seem to make a difference. When I open it as a page
wizard in xerte, there doesn't seem to be any code to resize the video
that I can fiddle with. Am I best off just getting a copy of captivate?
Many thanks for your help,
