FW: [Xerte] Onscreen positioning of objects

I'm building a plain dummy file and so far this seems to happen:

Shift F5 - single execution
Control F5 - double execution
Shift+Control F5 - double execution

But in any case, it seems to flow to the right spot, stop and highlight the correct target.

On my piece, Shift F5 works as expected, but I have to move through the whole piece to get to the target.

Any combination with the Control key sends it into the flashing loop.

How do I halt the engine's reading/execution of the flow line again?
I think something being encountered further down the flow is what is causing it and I would like to isolate it, but not by rebuilding the whole thing 1 icon at a time. :-/
