No problem. When we began Xerte, it was 2004, and there wasn't even ActionScript 2, let alone 3. There were no V2 components. You couldn't load an XML file bigger than about 30k without it crashing the flash player, which was version 6. There were no loader components, hardly anyone was doing anything with video, and bandwidth couldn't be relied upon: modems were still a reality for most.

The world, happily, has changed. Flex / AS3 is absolutely brilliant to work with, and we can build much more powerful tools on top of that framework. It will take us a bit more time before we can really exploit the templated development that has led to toolkits, but we'll get there,

No, Xerte is all AS2, so you can't load AS3 swfs,

Xerte 3.0 is AS3 and can load them, but is aimed at developers, so you might find that a bit more than you're looking for: it's also not quite finished yet, due sometime in the spring,

You can't use AS3 swfs in Xerte Online Toolkits unfortunately,

Hello all,

I am trying to embed an interactive SWF. A drag and drop piece where the AS3 code is contained both in the FLA and two external classes. I have set the interactivity to native SWF, to no avail. As already mentioned any straightforward animation that plays from A to B works perfectly, I even added a simple 'play again' button and it worked.

I am unable to create an RLO from scratch in the offline version as I am not a strong coder. I have read previous threads and wondered had any solutions been found?
