[Xerte] dynamicMenu example

Mark,
I don't have a 2004 system to test against, so any info you have is
useful. Can you try stepping through the code, debug() ing the values
you get back from the getValue calls and see if it behaves as it should.
You could try a simple piece that simply writes the time or something
into suspend_data and see if you can retrieve it next time, set a new
value etc.
I'll try some stuff in the test suite and see what happens. Maybe I'll
have a sample that will help later on,
Are you bent on 2004 for good reasons or would 1.2 suffice? Having said
that, I'm keen that Xerte supports SCORM 2004,
thanks,
J

I am still getting 'you have completed this task'.
I need to pull it apart some more to see what is going on.
Cheers
Mark

I think that example pre-dates the SCORM 2004 implementation,
and when I added support for 2004 I also changed the way 1.2 is
supported (to work in the same way as 2004).
I've updated the file on the web site, but not tested it.
I switched out the LMSSetValue() and LMSGetValue() function
calls for _level0.setvalue(dataElement,value) and
_level0.getValue(dataElement), so in theory it *should* now work,

I am playing around with the dynamicMenu example in an
effort to get up to speed on Xerte.
I have added a few pages with frameworks etc and all is
working well.
I have a question on the SCORM tracking though. When
previewing the piece the menu details each chapter as 'Not Started' and
the status stays that way, which is what I expected as we are not
running through an LMS at this point. I have published the file and
packaged as SCORM 2004, and then uploaded to a SCORM 2004 compliant LMS.
The PIF uploads and launches without error, but on first and subsequent
runs the menu items show as 'Completed'?? I wasn't expecting this! OK,
so what did I do wrong / miss?
Do I need to do something else to initialise the SCORM
tracking with this example? and in General?
Cheers
