Folks
The good Dr. Hoffman is correct in stating that the idea of a Reading Hall of Fame came forth 50 years ago.
As with most important anniversaries, an idea of a celebration is of import. The Golden Anniversary does say something about the organization.
What we must decide is whether we celebrate when the idea came to fruition or in our case when the first individuals were actually appointed or the first group of the chosen were inducted. Our celebratory period may indeed cross calendar years.
The Executive Board is to meet in a couple weeks for our spring meeting. I'll see that this topic is on the agenda, and then get back to all of you.
Thank you Jim for bringing this topic to our attention!!!!!

Jim
