I hope you are all well and safe in our trying times throughout the world.
Once again, I am writing you for your nomination of new members for election into the Reading Hall of Fame.  These new members will be inducted at the Literacy Reading Association conference next December, 2020 in Houston, TX.  Please email me your nominations, sent directly to me at jan.dole at utah.edu<mailto:jan.dole at utah.edu>, on or before Saturday, June 20, 2020.  Please do not send your nominations to our group email address.
We have made a few changes to the nomination process, so please read the criteria for nomination carefully. I have included a copy of our recently revised Voting Procedures for 2020-2025 to help.
Please send to me:

1) your name, affiliation, and email address (I need these for future contacts with you)
2) the name, affiliation, and email address of each person you are nominating (I need these for future contacts with the nominees)
3) a 250-word description/biographical statement of the nominee’s contribution to the field
 Below are the criteria for each person you nominate:
1) The nominee shall have been actively involved in the field for a minimum of 25 years after the nominee's terminal degree
2) The nominee shall be widely known and respected by people in the profession
3) The nominee's contributions can include:
authorship of publications, including reports of significant research, and
performance in positions of responsibility, including preparation of leaders in the field through teaching

As you think about individuals you wish to nominate, I have attached files including all our existing living and deceased RHF members.
Thank you for your contributions to this process.  Once I have the nominations, I will generate voting ballots, and we will have two rounds of voting, primary and final voting.  The goal is to complete the voting by mid July.
