[Reading-hall-of-fame] Re: RHF elections, 2019-2020

I did locate another data point that might be useful in gauging the size of
our election pool.

Until about 6 or 7 years ago, the National Academy of Education elected
about 6-8 members per year. BUT in response to the same frustration (too
many talented candidates were not being elected) plus some other issues
that I cannot fully recall (but the one that I do recall most vividly being
the representativeness of the cohort of elected members), we expanded
gradually. The last 3 years for which I could find easily accessible data
were 2016--11, 2017--14, and 2019--16.
