[Reading-hall-of-fame] Alan Farstrup's Funeral Service in Solvang CA

Colleagues,

I am planning on attending Alan's service in Solvang this coming
Wednesday.  Adam and Susan have asked me to speak at the service, focusing
on his professional contributions and our personal history.

So many of you have said so many beautiful things about his life on our
listserv that I am hoping, with your permission, to include quotes from
your words, with attribution, in my tribute.

If any of you would rather that I did not include your words, please let me
know off the listserv.  And if anyone would like to add additional
comments, please share them with me.

Is anyone else able to attend?  If so, I'll look forward to seeing you at
the Church Alan attended as a youngster--where I believe his father was the
minister.
