[Reading-hall-of-fame] Re: A gentle reminder - May 10th RHoF meeting

Hello all!  In the midst of moving I received an email from Sam Weintraub.
Helen K. Smith passed away on August 24. Helen was 96 and a long-time member
of the Reading Hall of Fame. She served on IRA's Board of Director's and if
Sam's memory is accurate, she was the second recipeient of the IRA
Outstanding Dissertation Award.

The note resurfaced in a neglected pile of papers just yesterday.  Please
forgive my tradiness in passing on this news.
