At the very least we need more than one "slate" review in the ballot development process--to prevent the Diane Lapp and Ros Horowitz glitches
I would also argue that we get candidate consent before we ask them to stand for an office. And I think we should change the by laws (if necessary) to block multiple terms as president. It may make sense to permit multiple terms as treasurer, secretary, or historian (do we have other officers?). I know that Dick Hodges was our able treasurer for at least the first 15 years that I was in the organization, and that worked REALLY well.
But I would argue that we should take this up at our next meeting rather than starting the election over.

Hi Folks,
Maybe, we should just start from scratch, send out a new ballot: with
those who have agreed to run for president listed; with Diane Lapp's name
eliminated (she's already a member); and with Rosalind Horowitz's name
added (her name was inadvertently omitted). "Y'all" might also want to get
some consistency in the length of the biographies of those suggested.
See you in Orlando.
