A lot depends on how active members of RHF want to be. So many members
are still active and not retired. Certainly under Jim's leadership and
others, we have begun to discuss issues and provide opportunities to
make contributions to the field. I do think we need to expand our views
beyond IRA in any case wherever we hang our hat. We need to think about
International scholars and also literacy scholars in related
organizations such as NCTE, AERA, etc. I would appreciate opportunity
for discussion about these issues. Yetta
