[Reading-hall-of-fame] Changes at IRA

As you are aware, there have been a number of changes at IRA over the
past several months. The Reading Hall of Fame is independent of the
IRA but we have certainly benefited from our close relationship over
the years. For example, our historical archives are located at IRA,
the website development work has taken place there, the elections
have been managed by folks at IRA, program slots have been arranged,
annual meeting space, etc.

With the changes at Headquarters, we may have to consider alternative
plans for going about our work. The current HOF officers are
discussing alternatives. We hope to come to the meeting in Minn and
present options for discussion. We will try to circulate these
options before the meeting to gather responses from those who will
not be attending.

We can, of course, try to arrange to stay in the same relationship
with IRA. Some have suggested that this may be a time to move all of
our operations out of Headquarters. If you have suggestions for us
to consider, please respond to this listserve or respond to me
directly. We will try to incorporate all suggestions into a set of
choices for consideration.

Cheers,

jim
