[Reading-hall-of-fame] Holdaway

I recieved this message that Don Holdaway, a member of the Reading Hall 
of Fame, had died in Australia. I'll try to get more information but I 
know Don had been ill for many years but managed to keep going.

I had a long personal acquaintance with Don that goes back many years.
He made a very important contribution to reading instruction and teacher 
education in his native New Zealand, in Australia, and in this country 
as well. He really knew how to reach teachers.
