Mathematics Education Research Journal [MERJ]
CALL FOR ARTICLES
The Mathematics Education Research Journal (MERJ) is an official journal
of the Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA). The
journal has a rich history of publishing high quality international
refereed papers on the teaching and learning of mathematics at all
levels, including post-compulsory and adult education. 2006 marks the
journal's 18th anniversary.
The new editorial team of MERJ is particularly interested in receiving
submissions from international researchers. The editors look forward to
reading your work, with a view to publishing it. Many of the conference
papers published in recent international refereed proceedings could be
developed into journal articles and would make a valuable contribution -
especially for readers who are unable to access these, or who would like
a greater depth of perspective. The reviews you will receive are
intended to help and support your academic career, particularly if you
have not published in refereed journals before.
We would like to encourage you to consider submitting an article. The
article may follow qualitative or quantitative research paradigms, or it
may be theoretical, dealing with practice and/or policy. Referencing in
the journal follows the guide as outlined in the 5th edition of the APA
manual.
When the paper is prepared, email it to the editors for consideration in
MERJ.
Here is what you need to send via email:
* a covering letter indicating that the paper has not been
submitted elsewhere, acknowledging if an earlier version of the paper
has been presented as a conference paper, and giving full details of all
authors - affiliations, postal addresses, and email addresses - as well
as identifying the author with whom the editor should correspond
* two versions of the manuscript: a full version, and a blinded
version. A blinded version is needed because the review process is
double-blind (blind author, blind reviewer). For the blinded version of
the manuscript, direct and indirect references to the authors should be
eliminated and replaced by 'Author'.
* 5 keywords to assist in the selection of reviewers.
Please see the MERGA website http://www.merga.net.au/ for more details.

We very much look forward to publishing your work.
