[Astro] PLEASE READ Unicore cutover update - confirmed dates and comms pack

Dear all (students, postdocs, and staff).

Please read and keep this message for info.

Most you know that the University is moving to a new finance and admin system called UniCore. During the changeover period from the current one to the new one there will be unavoidable disruption. In particular there will be cutover period when a number of things will not be available.

The attached file details some of the key deadlines and how they will impact us over cutover. We have pulled out the main areas, but please also refer to the Unicore cutover page<https://uniofnottm.sharepoint.com/sites/DigitalCoreProject/SitePages/Preparing-for-the-rollout-of-UniCore.aspx> for additional information if required. I would like to highlight two areas that have been of the most concern. Information is in the pack, but can I draw your attention to the following:

Purchasing:

Orders on Agresso must be placed by the end of Sunday 20th October. We will not be able to order from that point so please consider and plan for anything you might need in that period.
There will be an emergency purchase process by exception only. This will be authorised by the faculty, and must be for emergencies (eg, essential research equipment that has broken), and not an item we have failed to order in time.

Travel:

Personal expenses while travelling can continue to be accrued, then claimed on the new system when live. Air plus cards will still work for payments of expenses while travelling, but you will not be able to use them to book any travel.

Expenses to visitors will not be processed until the system is up and running. Please let any visitors (e.g., speakers) know and apologies.
