Welcome to the ESF Network for Exchange of Microbial Typing Information (ENEMTI). ENEMTI is a network of European laboratories that aims to standardise methods and data exchange protocols for Internet-based comparison of microbial fingerprinting data. We aim initially to develop an Internet-based database system for DNA fingerprints that is readily accessible and user-friendly for microbiologists with only limited computer expertise. ENEMTI consists of a mixed group of scientists in the fields of microbiology, molecular biology, mathematics and computer science. Support for the Network's activities is provided by the European Science Foundation, based in Strasbourg, France. The Network is coordinated from the PHLS Laboratory, University Hospital, Nottingham, UK. Laboratories and individual scientists interested in actively participating in the Network's activities are invited to register their details on the pro-forma below. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the ENEMTI Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.) |
