Where did you put xerte (in what folder?) and in what folder did you
put xampp?

page as per the instructions and this does not seem to be

Thanks - very prompt!
I think I'm all good with the relevant permissions but
happy to be shown otherwise. According to Xampp control
Apache is all set and ready. I'm getting the error
message that the host website is not working it seems as
per below:
Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. The link
on the referring page
seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author
of that page
about the error.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the
webmaster.
Error 404
localhost
Apache/2.4.9 (Win32)
OpenSSL/1.0.1g PHP/5.5.11
Any other suggestions?

I think Apache throws that error when something
is missing a permission.
Did you set all
the relevant execute permissions?

Thought I was doing well to download the
relevant software etc to my laptop and following
your website instructions. Just when I thought I
was nearly there it seems the setup page http://localhost/xertetoolkits/setup is
currently unavailable for me to get through the
last hurdle. Is this a long term or short term
issue?
