[Xerte] No XML load on server

Works in authoring, works when index.htm dragged onto browser locally.
Sits at onLoad event trap when run off server.

debugger.setText(FileLocation + 'brand_' + brand + '.xml');

myReq = new XML('<request user="dave"/>');
