[Xerte] re-importing an exported item

Hi
We've recently seen Xerte installed by our main IT department and were trying to export/import some objects from the old to new installation, in the ordinary (not SCORM) format.
However I noticed that images/video don't carry over, I've also tested simply importing/exporting within the same system (the original server).
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this or if the archive isn't supposed to include the videos/images?
