Hi again
Here's an update:
I exported the project and then replaced the data.xml and preview.xml in
user-files from the exported project (renaming templat.xml to data.xml) and
now the Xenith version works too.

So then I compared the xml between the exported xml and the previous version
that had stopped working with Xenith. The only difference was the Google
maps page which the export has obviously cleaned up via Tom's code:

before export:
" align="left"
mapurl="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=52.937841,-1.196051&spn=0.009815,
0.019312&t=h&z=16" maptype="hybrid" tooltip="The Unviersity of Nottingham
Google Map" link="true" />

after export:
" align="left"
mapurl="http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=52.937841,-1.196051&spn=0
.009815,0.019312&t=h&z=16" maptype="hybrid" tooltip="The Unviersity
of Nottingham Google Map" link="true" />

Two questions:
1. Tom - This was an existing LO when creating new LO's with a Google map
page etc will the wizard/engine convert the & symbols while authoring?

2 Fay - is there any way to avoid a single page like this preventing the
whole LO from working? Just thinking about all the existing LO's that people
have that might include Google map pages.

HTH
Ron

Hi Tom/Fay
is there a way of debugging this for existing/specific projects?
The shared page types example we have on the Techdis server no longer works
via the xenith link either. The Flash version works fine bu it Xenith
there's just a momentary flash of the interface and then a blank screen.
Alistair has also reported issues like that previously and I think exporting
and re-importing his LO fixed the problem but that's obviously not ideal. It
would be good to see where the exact problem lies in a particular LO.
Cheers
Ron

Fay,

The issue I had, is the same, only occuring in a different spot: when
exporting a LO.

I fixed it in the editor, but that doesn't work for existing LO's, so I ALSO
fixed it in the export code, more specifically in
website_code/php/xmlInspector.php

Have a look at loadTemplateXML, that calls fixXmlFile when it fails to load
the Xml file.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Tom
