For varifacies you need the original publication of Kassebeer.

In Sphegina the mouthedge can be variably in colour, so a yellow mouthedge
does not rule out varifacies, but a predominantly black does rule out
latifrons.
You should also check sublatifrons which is described in Vujic paper.

I am working on the worldwide species of the genus Sphegina taxonomically
and on the European species for the IUCN red list, so I am very interested
in this record.
Could you give me more details about it and possibly send some pictures so
I can check the identity.
