Two persons from the Netherlands published a book on the structure and
function of the orchid flower a few year ago:

You can download the book for free and you will see it is an astonishing
work!


I think you have observed a very interesting finding since the authors of
the book only list a single Diptera (a tachinid) as pollinator of European
orchids!
