Interestingly enough, Xylota indica is refered to as Syritta indica
Wiedemann, 1824: 33 (see for example
http://www.zmuc.dk/EntoWeb/collections-databaser/Diptera/Wiedemann%20Collection.html)
but the original paper appears to have a Eurmerus indicus on p. 33.
Brunetti is in the attachment (description on page 85), not where you
indicated it in Rec. Indian Museum Vol. 1.
