[Syrphidae] Re: Arctophila bombiformis

Hi Francis,

According to me, this hoverfly is undoubtedly Arctophila bombiformis and 
not at all Volucella bombylans, even a strange specimen. You can see on 
the attached pictures the resemblance with A. bombiformis (picture taken 
in the Pyrénées), and not at all with V. bombylans (idem). See in 
particular the shape of the face in side view.
