I am about to complete the process of shifting my large insect collection (mainly in schmitt boxes) and my extensive library to my "Studio" at Dharwar from Bangalore. I should be settled in completely and ready for research work from early April 2006. My first detailed revisionary paper on Indian Syrphidae Genera is titled as follows and will be available (hardcopy separates and soft/e-copy) next month.
THE GENUS AGNISYRPHUS GHORPADE (DIPTERA—SYRPHIDAE), PECULIAR TO THE ORIENTAL REGION, WITH NOTES ON PHYLOGENY, EVOHISTORY AND PANBIOGEOGRAPHY. Colemania: insect biosystematics, No. 14, pp. 1-34, 4 Text-Figs, 1 Plate, 1 Map, 1 Table.

This will be followed in quick succession by papers on revisions of other genera of Indian sub-continent (and other Oriental) Syrphini now done or being completed. Other tribes and subfamilies will be studied and manuscripts on them prepared later. All loans of Syrphini now with me from foreign and Indian museums will be fully returned from April as I complete my studies of them, genus by genus. Reprints of my papers promised to some of you on your request will also be posted next month when I organize my library for quick "search and use." All numbers of Colemania: insect biosystematics and earlier 5 Volumes of Colemania (an international Journal of Entomology) will be available on subscription from May 2006. Our hot season (summer) is now on and I await the first pre-monsoon (rains) showers next month when flies will be active again. Regards to all and good luck collecting in coming spring or your current season,
