CORRECTION :
    My paper describing 2 new genera and 40 new species of Indian sub-continent Syrphini is dated 1994 not "1974" as wrongly keyed in (vide infra).  The following info on my publications and collections may interest some on this discussion group.

The following projected papers are those on which research is being carried out presently based on collections made (and borrowed) of these taxa. The collaborating co-authors cited in boldface below are both those who are working with me or who will be requested to share work (indicated by a "?") on the appropriate individual papers in the near future. 

   Several papers on each genus of the Tribe Syrphini (Diptera : Syrphidae) from the Indian sub-continent (some 30+) and also from other parts of the Oriental Region. [ some with F.C. Thompson, J.R. Vockeroth, and others ] The first paper : "The genus Agnisyrphus Ghorpade (Diptera—Syrphidae), peculiar to the Oriental Region, with notes on its phylogeny, evohistory and panbiogeography" is now nearing completion. 
   Several papers (about 6+) on revisions of genera of Oriental and Oceanian Sciomyzidae (Diptera). [ with L. Knutson and others ] Two more (after my publ. # 148 and 202 listed above) now being completed are : "First Key to the Genera of Oriental Sciomyzidae (Diptera—Acalyptratae), with an Annotated Checklist of known and undescribed species" and "Two new species of Pelidnoptera Rondani (Diptera—Phaeomyiidae ?), with an analysis of its family status."
