[Public-engagement] Public Engagement Opportunity - Real Science in Schools Symposium, Thursday 10 February, Council House

Dear Colleagues,

I have received a request for researchers to get involved in the Real Science in Schools Symposium, that forms part of this year's Festival of Science and Curiosity.

Ignite! are looking for researchers to showcase activity at Nottingham City Council House on Thursday 10 February from 1.00 - 3.00 pm (set up from 12.00).

They wrote -

The aim of the event is to showcase the fantastic science investigations that schools have been undertaking, especially those prompted by the children's curiosity and questions.
Each school will have a table but it would be great to have an activity or wow factor demo from university researchers among the children's work.

We will be joined by the Management Committee of Lab_13 at Irchester Community Primary School in Northamptonshire and a 'civic' representative (Sheriff or Mayor).
