Wellcome have launched a search for 25 exemplars of excellent public engagement activity, across all discipline areas. We have many such examples across the University, and we would love to see some of them make Wellcome's list. I hope you’re well.  Wellcome is currently looking for case studies to illustrate and celebrate what outcomes-focussed public engagement looks like in practice, and need your help to find them.

Researchers often ask us for concrete examples of outcomes-focussed public engagement, so we want to find and publish 25 tangible examples to support and inspire them to do public engagement that makes a difference to the way research is carried out or its impact on society. We are keen for science and health researchers to learn from one another, but also from how people in other disciplines and sectors have engaged the public with their work in an outcomes-focussed way. Those chosen as the ‘top 25’ will be published and showcased within the research community to inspire researchers to do public engagement that makes a difference. The deadline for submissions is 8th November 2019.

There are two ways that you can get involved:

  1.  Pass this on to your network. Can you think of anyone in your network/your researchers who has done great outcomes-focussed public engagement?
