We are honoured to host the second distinguished speaker delivering a public lecture part of the Vice-Chancellor's Lecture Series<https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/about/vice-chancellor/vice-chancellors-lecture-series/vice-chancellors-lecture-series.aspx>.

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization and University of Nottingham alumnus, will be in conversation with Professor Jonathan Van-Tam MBE, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health and Professor of Health Protection, University of Nottingham, about the biggest challenges in global public health over the coming decades. A health scholar, researcher and diplomat, Dr Tedros held a number of important national and global public health positions prior to his role at WHO, including Ethiopia's Minister of Health, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chair of the Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
