We are pleased to confirm that Professor Jonathan Haskel from Imperial College London and co-author of Capitalism without Capital: The Rise of the Intangible Economy<https://press.princeton.edu/titles/11086.html> (2017) will join Stian Westlake, Policy Adviser to the Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation for the inaugural University of Nottingham Institute for Policy and Engagement Policy Dialogues event.

Capitalism without Capital<https://press.princeton.edu/titles/11086.html> was selected as a book of the year for 2017 by the Financial Times, the Economist and Marginal Revolution.

Professor Haskel has recently been appointed as an external member of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee. He is also a non-executive director of the UK Statistics Authority and a member of the Conference on Research in Income and Wealth, a group that looks at challenges in measurement in economics.

The lecture will be introduced by Professor Shearer West, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Nottingham. The Q&A session will be facilitated by Professor Paul Mizen, Professor of Monetary Economics, University of Nottingham. Refreshments and an opportunity to continue the debate will be available after the discussion.
