Duties and Responsibilities
The UCL Division of Psychology and Language Sciences is one of the largest departments delivering a
Psychology BSc degree in the UK with over 100 members of academic staff conducting
internationally-recognized research across the discipline, including perception, cognitive psychology,
social and cognitive neuroscience, and decision sciences. The Division also has an excellent and
broad program of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Teaching Fellow would be
situated in Experimental Psychology Research Department.

The post-holder will provide teaching, examining and related administration in cognitive psychology
and will convene the undergraduate lab modules. The post will also include taking undergraduate
seminars in general psychology.

This appointment is funded for two years in the first instance and is available for an immediate start.

Key Requirements
The successful candidate should have a PhD, or be working towards completion of a PhD, in
psychology, cognitive science or a related field. The successful candidate should be able to present
and summarise scientific research findings in the area of cognitive psychology to undergraduate
students. Ideally, the post-holder will have specialist knowledge in the area of vision, perception or
attention. The post-holder will give introductory lectures on perception, supervise research projects
in the area of cognitive psychology and provide a lab class for Second Year undergraduates. The
successful candidate should also have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
