Dear all

I am trying to track down the origin of the term "ethnomathematics". A vast number of internet sources claim that the term was first used in an address by Ubiratan D'Ambrosio to the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1977 in Denver, Colorado, but none give details of the title of D'Ambrosio's talk. Does anyone have a title for the 1977 AAAS talk, or failing that, a rival for the earliest mention of the term?
