Job vacancy: NRICH Director, University of Cambridge

Salary: £49,096-£52,086 pa

The NRICH Project http://nrich.maths.org at the University of Cambridge is
seeking an outstanding mathematics education practitioner to take up the
post of Director from January 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter.

NRICH, part of the Millennium Mathematics Project http://mmp.maths.org, is
successful and vibrant, offering rich mathematical resources for teachers
and learners at all Key Stages, and support and professional development for
teachers. The NRICH website attracts over 1.2 million visits per year and
NRICH staff work face-to-face with thousands of teachers and pupils
annually. The Director is responsible for leading the exceptional NRICH
team.

The successful candidate will have substantial mathematics teaching
experience, an outstanding track record in enrichment, the ability to play a
key role in research into the impact of NRICH, excellent leadership and
teamwork skills, and the ability to share and communicate the inspiration
and excitement of mathematics. The role is diverse and demanding, but
extremely rewarding, and offers a unique opportunity within mathematics
enrichment and education.

The starting date is 1 January 2010 or as soon as possible thereafter. 
The post is offered until 31 August 2012 in the first instance.
