I am writing on behalf of Horizon Research, Inc., (HRI) a private
research firm located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina specializing in
work related to science and mathematics education. Currently HRI is
announcing the public release of ten years of teacher questionnaire data
from the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Local Systemic Change
through Teacher Enhancement initiative (LSC). We thought members might
be interested in the availability of these data for secondary analyses.

We appreciate your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Kristen Malzahn

Research Associate

Announcement:

Ten years of teacher questionnaire data from the National Science
Foundation's (NSF) Local Systemic Change through Teacher Enhancement
initiative (LSC) are available to researchers for secondary analysis.
The NSF funded eight cohorts of projects, for a total of 88 projects,
between 1995 and 2002. The public release dataset contains over 80,000
responses to the LSC teacher questionnaire submitted by more than 51,000
teachers between 1996-97 and 2005-06. The dataset allows both
cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses.

Additional information about the LSC public release dataset, including
findings from the LSC initiative, is available at
http://www.pdmathsci.net/lscprd.
