[Maths-Education] Research on Pythagoras

Hi Everyone,
                 I have some students who are trying to locate research on 
children's learning of the above theorem.  So far, we have drawn a blank 
(apart from APU).

I should emphasise that they are NOT looking for different approaches to 
the teaching of the theorem, but rather research on the difficulties that 
children experience in learning it.  Can anyone help please?
