CALL FOR CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS

International Mathematics Enrichment with Communication Technologies (IMECT
3)

11-13 July 2002
University of Cambridge

CONFERENCE THEMES

· Using communication technology in the teaching and learning of mathematics
· Providing mathematical enrichment for primary pupils and secondary
students and challenging the more able
· Promoting public understanding of mathematics and its role in society

CALL FOR PRESENTERS

Presentations are being sought that relate to any of these themes.
Presentations may take the form of an informal talk, a practical workshop, a
presentation of research in action or findings, a formal lecture or a
structured discussion.
Classroom teachers are particularly welcome to report school-based
activities and projects.
Timeslots of 45, 60 or 90 minutes are available.
Computer suites will be available for sessions.

If you would like to contribute to the conference in some way,
submit a short proposal in the form of an abstract by July 31st 2001 for
review.
You will hear from the committee by September 30th 2001.
Proposals can be sent by either email or post (see below).
