I think I had a vaguely similar error when I tried to upgrade although it wasn't the same library but when I traced the code I found that for some reason some of the files in the /library/ folder hadn't copied from the zip (although they were in the zip I downloaded) and I'm still not sure why...
That's why I'd first check that all the files that are supposed to be in the /library and /plugins folders are there because they are autoloaded and there's no way for the loop to know whether something that is missing should be or not...

loving how one error shows how out of date I am with the code :)
Is it PSR2? Or some other form of auto loading?
Could add echos to the autoloader class to see why it loops (or add a patch to go "if class doesn't exist then load via require"?)
