[Xerte] Institution as etextbook publishers - money to bid for..

I saw this a couple of weeks back and contacted Jisc re assessing the bids for accessibility.


I've just seen that the "e-textbook" is defined as: a coherent package of learning materials in electronic form that is fundamental to a course of study at a further education college or higher education institution.



That sounds very much like some of you are beginning to do with Xerte toolkits.

There might therefore be scope for you to either

1)      take Xerte forward as a tool for creating core course content for a subject area - like Eddy has been wanting to do with Landex?

2)      Take a more technical approach and adapt XOT to output in EPUB3 as well as html5 (EPUB3 is the current standard for commercial publishing and has high accessibility potential)..
