Yes, as Pat says, even in Chrome your mp3 file comes down with a mime type of audio/x-mpeg but Chrome seems to be more forgiving than Firefox.

Either you need to ask your server guys to check the mime type for .mp3 files, possibly changing it to audio/mpeg or it is the actual file itself which is not in mpeg3 format, just renamed as .mp3

Nerdy but Firefox console says

HTTP "Content-Type" of "audio/x-mpeg" is not supported. Load of media resource https://mybu.bournemouth.ac.uk/bbcswebdav/users/alexott/Xerte/RLO_1and1deploy/media/rlointro.mp3 failed.

So it might be a server problem

I have downloaded the Xerte toolkits to my PC and created a learning object from it, which I exported (deployment zip), and uploaded into Blackboard  https://mybu.bournemouth.ac.uk/bbcswebdav/xid-1737237_1



Using Firefox 26 and greater, the mp3 recordings on page 2 and 11 are not playing. I am able to play the recordings in the object when using Chrome or IE; and when I previewed the object in the local installation on my PC in Firefox.



Is there a way to enable the mp3 recordings in Firefox once the Xerte object has been deployed in Blackboard?
