[Xerte] Manual retrieval of the contents of a module?

Hi there,
I have recently been using xerte to develop on-line contents for people
with Parkinson's disease in the context of a small EU initiative. Some
of the consortium members team have been adapting the content of the
modules to the reality of different nationalities.
One of the members is having problems with one of their modules. On
their workspace, the object can be edited (the "Edit" button works and,
apparently, its properties can be revised and changed) but when trying
to Preview the content, an empty window appears. I have also tried to
Export the contents of the module but it is not working either. So, the
content seems to be there (in the Edit window) but we cannot access it.
I know it is a long shot but, please, could anybody suggest what the
problem might be? Would there be any way to "manually" retrieve the
contents of the module and then to re-import them?
I can provide additional details if needed.
Many thanks for reading this!
Best wishes,
